Project Summary

The photograph of "Diver UP" was created in the idyllic setting of Cala Xarraca, Ibiza, Spain. The concept took over a year to materialize, culminating in the acquisition of a commercial diving helmet, which became a central element in the project.

In 2017, the photographed was realized as a bronze sculpture using the intricate lost wax process. This initial creation marked the beginning of a remarkable evolution for "Diver UP”, due to the fact this world-renowned photograph has become a a sensational sculpture. A wonderfully inspirational achievement.

Subsequent renditions included a striking 2 meter wood sculpture, which was ceremoniously burned, at Burning Man in 2019, symbolizing a significant shift in both the artwork and the artist's career trajectory. This transformative act carried profound symbolism, signifying a metamorphosis not only for the art piece but also for the artist's creative journey.

The project continued to evolve, with a 2 meter fiberglass version installed at the Sky Valet Private Jet - Air Terminal in Ibiza in 2022.

Another compelling milestone was the 2022 unveiling of a mesmerizing 24-foot (8-meter) interactive sculpture at Burning Man in the Wild West. This striking installation granted fortunate viewers a unique opportunity to witness the artwork with the helmet placed on the ground, symbolizing the goddess's liberation from patriarchy in a poignant and surreal display amidst the harsh environment of the Black Rock Desert.

The "Diver UP" art project has captivated audiences and continually expanded its impact, enriching the artistic landscape with its profound symbolism and evolving forms. The journey of "Diver UP" reflects not only a personal artistic transformation but also a universal narrative of empowerment and liberation.
